Longtime leisure publicist, textbook creator and photographer Norma Ann Morris died Aug. 20 at her dwelling in Kingston Springs, Tenn. Morris, who was 82, died following lengthy battles with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s ailments.
Morris labored as an artist marketing consultant and publicist for artists together with Maxine Brown (of The Browns), Merle Haggard, Waylon Jennings, Jim & Jesse McReynolds, Ralph Stanley, Steve Wariner and plenty of others. Previous to her work as a publicist, Morris served as a school textbook editor and creator, for books together with the award-winning Introduction to Computer systems and Info Programs, and The right way to Set Up a Enterprise Workplace. As a photographer, Morris had works included in Folks, TV Information, Author’s Digest, Billboard, Bluegrass Limitless, Amusement Enterprise and extra.
Her household contains a number of music trade members, together with her husband Ed Morris (a rustic music editor at Billboard from 1990 till 1995), daughter Erin Morris Huttlinger (RCA Information and unbiased publicity), and son Jason Morris (a music writer with Fame, HoriPro and Eleven Eleven Music).
