Brockton, Massachusetts — A lady who says she was burned by “scalding” scorching espresso at a Brockton Dunkin’ Donuts location is suing the native proprietor of the shop and two staff there who allegedly mocked her accidents, CBS Boston studies.
Angela Barbosa filed the lawsuit in Plymouth Superior Court docket earlier this month.
She says she was within the passenger’s seat of her sister’s automobile in June of 2020 once they pulled as much as the Dunkin’ drive-thru at night time and ordered three scorching coffees.
She claims an worker handed her sister espresso cups that weren’t positioned firmly within the tray, and that the recent drinks weren’t correctly capped. They got here unfastened and tipped over onto Barbosa, burning her legs and buttocks, in line with the swimsuit.
“Screaming in ache, the Plaintiff was pressured to tear off her leggings within the car parking zone, exposing herself in full view of the Dunkin’ Donuts staff,” the lawsuit states. “Seeing this, the staff have been pointing, laughing, and mocking the plaintiff.”

Barbosa is suing for negligence and emotional misery.
