Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Saturday alleged that earlier than the abrogation of Article 370, about 80 per cent of funds allotted to Jammu and Kashmir used to land within the pockets of political leaders.
Talking in an occasion in Nagpur, Maharashtra, Mr Bhagwat mentioned, “Earlier than the abrogation of Article 370, 80 per cent of what was achieved for Kashmir valley, used to finish up within the pockets of political leaders and never attain individuals. Now, after the abrogation individuals of Kashmir valley are experiencing direct entry to improvement and availing of advantages.”
Mr Bhagwat added, “I visited Jammu and Kashmir and noticed the present state of affairs. After the abrogation of Article 370, the trail to improvement has opened for all. On the pretext of Article 370, Jammu and Ladakh had been discriminated in opposition to earlier. That discrimination would not exist anymore.”
In August 2019, the Central authorities scrapped Article 370 which gave particular rights to the individuals of Jammu and Kashmir and bifurcated the area into two categories- Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh.
