A wreath-laying ceremony was held on the `Hut of Remembrance’ on the Nationwide Defence Academy (NDA) close to Pune on Saturday in reminiscence of Group Captain Varun Singh, who died earlier this week after sustaining extreme accidents within the crash of an MI-17 helicopter carrying Normal Bipin Rawat and others.
Chief of Defence Workers Rawat, his spouse and 11 others perished within the crash close to Coonoor in Tamil Nadu on December 8, whereas Singh died in hospital in Bengaluru on December 15.
Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor, Commandant, NDA, paid homage to Singh in a solemn ceremony on behalf of the NDA fraternity, a protection launch stated right here.
