Jammu-Srinagar National Highway To Reopen For One-Way Traffic On Saturday

The Jammu-Srinagar Nationwide Freeway will reopen for one-way site visitors on Saturday after remaining closed for the previous three days owing to heavy snowfall and landslides in Ramban district, officers mentioned.

One-way site visitors shall be allowed from Jammu to Srinagar after the arterial highway is cleared of particles from landslides at varied locations, Site visitors Inspector Mr Rakesh Kumar mentioned.

He mentioned that site visitors has been allowed from Jammu in the direction of Srinagar from 9 am to 1 pm for under mild motor autos (LMVs).

“No autos shall be allowed earlier than and after the timings from Nagrota in Jammu, strictly. There’ll no site visitors from Srinagar to Jammu tomorrow”, official mentioned.

The freeway, the one all-weather highway linking Kashmir with remainder of the nation, was closed for site visitors on Wednesday afternoon, shortly after it was opened after a two-day closure following heavy snowfall and a number of landslides between Chanderkote and Ramsu.
