Navy To Acquire 2 India-Made Multi-Purpose Vessels For Rs 887 Crore

Ministry of Defence has signed a contract on Friday with M/s Larsen and Toubro Restricted for the acquisition of two multi-purpose vessels (MPVs) for the Indian Navy at an general value of Rs 887 crore below ‘Purchase-Indian’ class.

The contract was signed within the presence of Vice-Admiral Satish Namdeo Ghormade, Vice Chief of the Naval Employees and Pankaj Agarwal, Extra Secretary and Director Common Acquisition. Supply of vessels is scheduled to begin from Might 2025, knowledgeable an official assertion by the Ministry of Defence.
