A case has been registered towards the officers of Punjab police in reference to the alleged assault on a journalist within the nationwide capital, Delhi police sources stated as we speak.
Sources stated the Punjab police officers allegedly assaulted a Delhi-based journalist throughout a press convention on the Imperial Lodge on April 26, which was addressed by Aam Aadmi Celebration (AAP) convener and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and his Punjab counterpart Bhagwant Mann.

The journalist alleged that he was barred from attending the joint press convention regardless of displaying his identification card to the cops. When confronted, the Punjab police officers, who have been current on the Imperial Lodge, assaulted him, the journalist alleged.
The Press Membership of India and the Chandigarh Press Membership have strongly condemned the alleged assault and demanded motion towards the accused police officers.
