Testimony is about to proceed Wednesday within the civil trial between Johnny Depp and his ex-wife Amber Heard. Depp is suing Heard for $50 million over a a December 2018 op-ed she wrote in The Washington Put up. Heard is counter-suing for $100 million.
The op-ed, during which Heard describes herself as “a public determine representing home abuse,” doesn’t title Depp, although his legal professionals say he was defamed by it. Heard has mentioned Depp sexually and bodily assaulted her, and is mendacity about her.
Depp says he by no means abused Heard. He spent 4 days on the stand earlier within the trial. Heard’s testimony completed Tuesday.
The trial, which is now in its fifth week, has drawn a substantial amount of public curiosity. Followers have gathered every day on the Fairfax County Circuit Courtroom.
