Navjot Sidhu Seeks More Time To Surrender, Cites Medical Reasons

Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu immediately requested a number of extra weeks to give up on medical grounds, a day after the Supreme Courtroom sentenced him to at least one 12 months in jail in a 1988 road-rage case through which a person was killed.

Lawyer Abhishek Manu Singhvi, who appeared for Navjot Sidhu within the Supreme Courtroom, was informed by Justice AM Khanwilkar to strategy the Chief Justice of India NV Ramana.

Mr Sidhu had yesterday tweeted that he would “undergo the majesty of legislation” and this morning, studies had steered he would give up at a courtroom in Punjab’s Patiala.

On Thursday, the Supreme Courtroom ordered one-year “rigorous imprisonment” for the cricketer-turned- politician, who lately stop as Punjab Congress chief.
