Submit 'Hacked' Devices For Probe: Delhi Police To Congress Leader

Congress chief Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury claimed his Twitter account was hacked.

New Delhi:

The Delhi Police on Saturday requested Chief of Congress within the Lok Sabha, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury to submit his units which he claimed have been ‘hacked’ after allegedly posting after which deleting a tweet with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s notorious quote linked to 1984 riots.

“It’s requested that you just submit us the units which you declare to have been hacked for conducting the investigation on the idea of the grievance made by you. Trying ahead to your co-operation. Authorized motion is being taken,” Delhi Police mentioned.

Earlier on Saturday, the Congress chief claimed his Twitter account was hacked after allegedly posting after which deleting a tweet with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi’s notorious quote linked to 1984 riots. On this regard, Mr Chowdhury has filed a police grievance with Delhi Police.

The Congress chief posted an infographic with an image of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi and his notorious assertion, “When a giant tree falls, the bottom shakes.” Nonetheless, he instantly deleted and shared one other publish with a special quote.

It was a controversial assertion made by the previous PM Rajiv Gandhi justifying the 1984 Sikh genocide within the wake of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s assassination.

Later, Mr Chowdhury wrote on Twitter, “The tweet towards my title within the Twitter account has nothing to do with my very own commentary. A malicious marketing campaign is propagated by these forces inimical to me.”
