A 19-year-old man was arrested on Monday for allegedly making objectionable remarks towards Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on social media, police stated.
Accused Akram Ali aka Gulbahar, a resident of Tetaria village below Khajni police station limits, is a painter. He uploaded an objectionable submit towards Adityanath on his Whatsapp standing at round 11 pm on Sunday and it went viral, they stated.
Taking suo motu cognisance of the matter, he was booked below Sections 504 (intentional insult with intent to impress breach of the peace), 505 (creating or selling enmity, hatred or in poor health will between lessons), 469 (forgery for harming status) and 295 (injuring or defiling place of worship with intent to insult the faith of any class) of the Indian Penal Code and in addition the Data Expertise Act, Khajni police station in-charge, Iqrar Ahmad stated.
