A gynaecologist and her aide have been caught allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 6,000 to ship a tribal lady’s baby in Madhya Pradesh’s Dhar district on Friday, which is noticed as nationwide medical doctors’ day.
The Lokayukta police caught Dr Sangeeta Patidar (55), a gynaecologist on the neighborhood well being centre in Sardarpur whereas accepting the bribe with the assistance of her aide Puja Babaria (26), Lokayukta Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Praveen Singh Baghel mentioned.
Ms Babaria accepted the bribe from the lady’s household on behalf of the physician, he mentioned.
Dr Patidar had allegedly sought Rs 10,000 for delivering the tribal lady’s baby on June 27, and after negotiations with the household, she settled for Rs 8,000. She was to be paid Rs 2,000 on the day of the supply, the official mentioned.
A case beneath the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered towards the duo, who haven’t been arrested as but, he added.
