New Delhi:

As taxpayers face points in accessing the e-filing portal, the Earnings Tax division on Saturday mentioned software program supplier Infosys is taking “proactive measures” to take care of the ‘irregular visitors’ on the portal.

“It has been seen that taxpayers are going through points in accessing ITD e-filing portal. As knowledgeable by @Infosys, they’ve noticed some irregular visitors on the portal for which proactive measures are being taken,” the I-T division tweeted.

The brand new e-filing portal, launched on June 7, 2021, had a bumpy begin with taxpayers and professionals reporting glitches and difficulties in its functioning. Infosys was given the contract in 2019 to develop the portal.

Extra not too long ago, the portal confronted snags on the primary anniversary of its launch and plenty of customers complained that they had been unable to log in into the portal, whereas some complained malfunctioning of the search performance.

The federal government has paid Rs 164.5 crore to Infosys to construct the brand new earnings tax e-filing portal.
