An Military jawan drowned whereas bathing within the Ganga river close to Rishikesh in Uttarakhand on Tuesday, police stated.
Soldier Nitul Yadav (25) was a part of a bunch of six individuals which had gone to wash within the river at Phoolchatti close to Lakshman Jhoola, they stated.
Immediately water ranges rose and he was swept away by the robust currents of the river, police stated.
He was seen floating alongside the river as much as Golf Fast however slowly disappeared into the waves past that, they stated.
SDRF divers discovered his physique two kilometers away from the spot. He was rushed to a hospital the place he was declared introduced useless, police stated.
Mr Yadav hailed from Gandala village in Alwar district of Rajasthan. He was on depart and on a visit to Rishikesh, they stated.
