A crimson sculpture portraying Russian President Vladimir Putin mounted on a warfare tank has been put in in a playground in New York Metropolis’s famed Central Park.

French artist James Colomina, who is understood for putting his crimson statues in unconventional areas with out prior announcement, created the piece, in keeping with Reuters.

“This sculpture goals at denouncing the absurdity of warfare and at highlighting kids’s braveness when confronted with violent, catastrophic conditions triggered by others,” the road artist wrote in an Instagram publish concerning the statue. Colomina gave the impression to be referencing Russia’s warfare with Ukraine — and the Russian president’s position in it.

Colomina’s Instagram showcases two different an identical crimson Putin statues positioned in parks across the globe. In July, one was arrange in Barcelona’s Parc de Joan Miró. A month earlier than, one appeared in Paris’ Jardin du Luxembourg.
